Match Thread: August 16, 2019 - Edmonton v Cavalry

Match is at 7pm MT (9pm ET) on One Soccer.

Cavalry have won both prior meetings, but will be on very short rest having played Montreal in the V's Cup on Wednesday.

Big match up for the Fall season standings. The clubs are both on 11 points at the top of table (with Cavalry with a game in hand).

Expect to see every bench player start for Cavalry, although due to injuries there aren't that many bodies to go around especially on the back line and up front. Giantsopoulous will start in goal for sure, and Ledgerwood will be well rested after his V-Cup suspension. Patino and Minatel will probably start in midfield/attacking roles, and with how thin we are up front this Pepple kid might get his first start.

Hopefully no one else gets injured.

Sold out ground 2 nights ago. It's a bit much to expect the same enthusiasm for another game in such a short time. Looking at the highlights the crowd was decent all things considered.

Nice to see 2 point evaporate, especially since the exspense is at top of the table, which could be a very crowded place by next weekend.
