Stupid question , does  the Olympic qualifier and the Olympics count as Cap-tying games?

They are official youth matches. If you play in them they provisionally cap-tie you and you'll need to use your one-time switch to play for someone else afterwards.

At least it's not in the US like the last 3 qualifiers. Last time Canada organized this tournament was in 1996

Just took a look at our roster from 2015. 9 guys that were on that roster will be playing in CPL this year. CPL might not contribute much to the MNT at this point, but it will be huge for our youth teams.

Haiti and the Dominican Republic obtain the last two places for the pre-Olympic of  Concacaf after beating Barbados 4-0 and St. Kitts and Nevis 0-2 respectively.

And they will participate in the final phase  in Mexico with the host, USA, Canada, Honduras, El Salvador and Costa Rica.

The draw for the tournament will be announced at a later dat.
