Final Monchengladbach 0-1 Mainz

Friend got a few more opportunities in the second half, mostly headers, one going just over the bar. Mainz holds them off to take the lead in Bundesliga 2 by 1 point.

Don't know where you got that. M'Gladbach still lead the B2 table by 2 points despite the loss.

Pat Onstad gets a clean sheet as he and De Rosario play 90 minutes and hold the San Jose Earthquakes to a 0-0 draw. Looks like Chris Pozniak came in to start the second half but was subbed out on 52 minutes, only playing 6 minutes wonder what that was about.

Olivier Occean scores ('50) for Lillestrom from outside the box to go ahead 2-1 but Halmstad tie it up 2-2 ('81) in winter training action. Lillestrom won the match on penalties.

"I andre omgang sendte Olivier Occean LSK opp i 2-1-ledelse fem minutter etter sidebyttet. Canadieren sendte avgårde et meget bra skudd etter at han forserte seg vei gjennom Halmstad-forsvaret. Ballen gikk i nota. En stor prestasjon av Occean."

Had to have been an injury. Incidentally Poz started the previous game San Jose played (also against Houston).

Houston beat Sydney FC 3-0 with Onstad in net and DDR (subbed in min. 58) putting in another great performance

"Dwayne De Rosario took possession in the attacking third and unleashed a 30-yard blast in the 27th minute to put the Houston squad up, 1-0. Just a minute later, Stuart Holden took a pass from De Rosario and rocketed a shot past goalkeeper Clint Bolton to double Houston’s lead."

“Dwayne just hit a bomb, not much to that one,” said Houston’s Brian Ching, who assisted on the game’s first score.

LA Galaxy (who played with becks but without dandycakes and ruiz and babayaro) lost 1-0 to Gamba Osaka (who played without 6 starters apparently) - i found this hilarious comment from an australia fan on the galaxy forum:

"I so hope sydney plays L.A galaxy again. Need to payback that asshole harmes."

Posted from Australia

no sign of Harmse but josh wicks was in nets for LA in the second half.
