David C.
quote:Originally posted by Desigol I thought JB joined LA Galaxy? Frank made attempts to bring Jim to L.A. but apparently gave up, when he realized how strongly the new Toronto franchise was going after him. A newspaper article covering this was posted (either here or on the BigSoccer.com forum) about a month ago.
PSG
Thanks for the updates guys. I'm surprised he hasn't surfaced on a short-term contract in England (at least until Toronto get hold of him). It'll be nice to see him suit up for the big T.O. though. RS
MLS kicks off its season the first week of April, and teams start training in early February. He just needs to keep himself in decent shape for the next 6 months.
nolando
Six months off just staying in shape sounds like a good policy for forty year olds who want to play pick up soccer in the park the following year. Six months off to a real pro without proper games, etc...sounds like it would have consequences. Watch him not even make the starting eleven for TO. Vancouver Fan
It will be 6 months from now but probably close to a year without competetive matches. That's too long.
PSG
In view of the length of time until Toronto FC kicks off, I'm surprised that Jim doesn't score himself a month-to-month or six month deal in England. There would be plenty of teams that could use him to good effect.
