They've had (but admittedly don't know if they still do) had affiliations with CONCACAF (so the Gold Cup and probably Champions League), CONMEBOL (might have just been the Centenario), MLS (obviously), the North American portion of the International Champions Cup (and it's predecessors, but essentially the group that brings in all the big teams for pre-season friendlies). Could be more. And I'm sure that while the USSF has split from them to a certain extent, I would suspect that there's still going to be a working relationship there. Just not as "close" as it used to be. Free kick

Centenario was a one of the better money makers for US Soccer which is why they have kept on trying to have another one. Gold Cup rights belong to Concacaf - US Soccer gets some money if their men's team does well. CCL rights belong to Concacaf. SUM is now MLS which also includes US/Canada broadcast/marketing rights for Leagues Cup. They are also going to centralize US local tv rights under SUM. Mexican national team marketing rights for US-based friendlies still remain under SUM. For CCL, MLS clubs get any performance driven money. US Soccer split from SUM to get back to having a direct relationship with their broadcast and marketing partners in about 20 years. They want to build back trust given all the issues surrounding the Fed. They recently signed their biggest deal ever with Nike based on using "women's soccer to change the world" - which SUM/MLS wouldn't have focused on. Gold Cup rights do belong to CONCACAF, but SUM has frequently been the marketing/tournament organizer. If CONCACAF chooses to continue using them, the split with US Soccer would be irrelevant. Same with CCL. Yeah, it's definitely a blow to SUM to be dropped as the marketing arm for the men's and women's teams. My point is that it's still likely big, and it's still a way for them to shield money from the MLS player's union while crying about poverty.
