Many want Klinsmann;s head, think US soccer has regressed talent & style wise, are playing 1994 soccer, think the older guard of Deuce, Jones, Beckerman are on their last legs. Some of this American hubris thinking they're steps away from winning the World Cup and then whining like a 10 year old when things don't go plan. Had a good league for over a decade, lots of interest, coaching from supposedly good guys. But doing quite terribly, with a poor player pool, no international presence and struggling in Asia to qualify for anything they don't host. The USA is about where they should be, and probably, quite likely, they'll just stay there. They are a team to occasionally get to knock-out rounds at the WC. They should be happy with that. In Concacaf they are still clear favourites to qualify for WC and win Gold Cups. They are way ahead of everyone else except Mexico. Expecting more is simply not realistic.
