DJT
Guidelines for this thread In this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for May 7-13, 2010. If you find updates posted in some other thread or on the other Voyageurs forum then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster. If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here. Some comments on news posted in this thread are okay, but let's not let this thread go off into a long discussion. If the news already appears in another thread (as per the previous bullet) then post your comments in that other thread, otherwise if you want to say something significant or if it is likely to generate replies then begin a new thread. Ivan
Wow, didn't 3 teams have to win and Gillingham lose in order for them to get relegated? Guess anything's possible.
nolando
Scotland: Wagenaar predictably stayed on the bench as Falkirk suffered a scoreless draw with Kilmarnock and were officially relegated for the first time since 2005: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/scot_prem/8666163.stm Hastings' Hamilton finished seventh as they finished the season with a 3-2 win over St Johnstone. Yup...Long odds on today's relegation. This could be a blessing in disguise for Jackson. The club will need the cash to parachute back down, and given his star status at the club, even if they can afford him, I don't think he is prepared to drop back down agin. Either way I think he will go. The only question is where to?

Toronto MB
I'm starting the Vancouver rumour right now. Nice thought, but it won't happen. Jackson has a rep over here. People will look at Gillingham going down and see this as an opportunity to get a good deal on Simeon. He will get his shot from a Championship club I think. If he can stick one in the net against Argentina or Venezuela, that would go a long way to restoring some of his confidence. He's been struggling with a hamstring injury and a bad team, let's hope he's fit again and hungry for minutes with Canada. I just hope his 2nd half slump hasn't scared people off. jpg75
Not to mention that Simeon would require a transfer fee, something MLS is loath to pay - atleast expensive ones.
