In Germany, Friend played 90 in a 6-1 shellacking courtesy of Hannover. McKenna was subbed out at halftime in a 2-2 draw with Freiburg.

Simpson's Manisaspor beat Ankaraspor 3-0 in Turkey. No match was actually played, apparently because:

"Ankaraspor have been relegated after their links to top-flight rivals Ankaragucu were deemed to be anti-competitive by the Turkish football authorities. A 3-0 victory will be awarded to the opposition in all matches involving Ankaraspor."

Jackson played until being subbed out in the 88th minute as Gillingham beat Southampton 2-1 in a critical win. Hopefully, for Canada and Simeon's sake, he actually is fully fit and not limping through these last fixtures solely for the benefit of his side.

McCallum played 90 as his Hereford lost 2-1 to promotion-seeking Dag & Red.

Dunfield played 90 as his Shrewsbury lost 3-2 to promotion-seeking Morecambe.

Wagenaar kept his relationship with the bench as strong as ever, putting in another 90 minutes as his relegation-threatened Falkirk drew 1-1 with St Mirren.

In the Championship, Peters played 90 in a 3-0 Ipswich loss to Shef United.

Hume played all 90 for Barnsley in a 0-0 draw with West Brom.

Edgar played all 90 in Swansea's 0-0 draw with Doncaster which meant that Swansea missed out on a play-off position despite having been in position for one for four full months during the season.

Not a bad end to the season for our boys in the Championship. All three should be playing regularly there again next season, and with any luck Simeon Jackson and even Gavin McCallum might end up there before too long.

And, unrelated to Canadians, once-mighty Sheffield Wednesday were relegated to League 1.

Al-Shaibani between the pipes for Nimes as they defeat 2nd place Brest 1-0. Brest were reduced to 10 men in the 25th minute.

Nimes sit 7th in the table with 50 points. They are 6 points back of 3rd place Arles with 2 games left and with an 8 goal deficit in GD (and 3 other teams between them) they appear to be headed back to L2 next season.
