Daniel
A bit of a strange move, if understandable: Game date - Opponent - Valid ticket - Sale date August 13 - Rochester - New ticket - August 4 August 27 - Real Esteli FC - August 27 vs Portland - On sale now September 8 - Portland - September 3 vs Rochester - On sale now So the CL game might unfortunately see the same kind of picnic crowd as we're used to with USL games, and shuts out interested people who might decide to buy close to the game. MegasAlexandros1555362277
That's a pretty dumb move if you ask me. And I just tried admission.com, the tickets for the CL game seem to be almost all gone...
Daniel
The Impact knew that people already having bought their tickets couldn't be "contacted" and probably don't read about the Impact, so they'd show up at the door with the wrong ticket. This is the club getting bitten in the ass, if you ask me. Curious to see how many people will be there on the 13th...
Raven
Are the Impact going to do more than make this announcement, are there ads "hyping" the Champions League in Montreal????

I figure that the true measure will be the group stage. where the Impact will face some good clubs ( group C)since they will very likely be grouped with Atlante ( Mex) and NE Revs (US). There has always been a good rivalry with Boston teams in Montreal. If Rev fans travel for these games, it will be a short trip ( 4-4.5 hours). But I dont even even know if teh Revs a big supporters section if any at all. Cant pass judgement on the hype based on the fact that they are playing the Nicaraguan club though. They are just not heralded enough. For the Impact, Real Esteli FC should be the equlivalent of Canada playing St Vincent or Belize. Therefore, I dont think that it would be wise to hype the crap out of this event from the get go only to have people come out to see a side ( Real Esteli FC) that in theory should be a very weak side. But when the Impact reach the group stage, thats a another story.
Daniel
What's the point of marketing a game where the tickets are nearly sold out (Portland, Champions League, what's the difference)?
Mr.Impact
Any news as to where the away game is going to be held?
CanadaTFC
^^ Last I heard was Comayagua. But I read on RDS that they might play it in Choluteca. Both in Honduras.
