Apparently Sandro Grande refused a transfer from Viking to Molde this week.

http://fotball.adressa.no/nyhetsarkiv/article.jhtml?articleID=95455

The jist of the article is that Molde made an offer for Grande earlier this week; Sandro had been scheduled to play Viking's traning match with Bryne but was pulled from the starting lineup while he considered the offer.

Wednesday night, after considering his playing options and discussing the matter with his wife, Sandro decided to stay with Viking. He feels he has made some improvements this winter, and is in a good situation with Viking where he hopes to be a regular contributor.

Tromsø beat Lyn 3-0 in a training match in Norway today.

Patrice Bernier played the whole game for Tromsø and scored their opening goal. Stephen Ademolu came in with about 20 minutes to play.

Kenny did not play; that's two in a row for Knut Borch, who looks to have won the starting GK job.

Too bad for Kenny, let's hope he can win that starting position during the season.

Do you know the GK situation in Rosenborg? Does Lars has a chance to start the season as the #1?

Thanks!

Helmond Sport won an important match 4-2 against Noord-Hollanders FC Volendam, and as a result (I think) they leapfrog into 3rd place in the Gouden Gids Divisie. Haven't been able to find yet whether Marcel de Jong played, but I imagine he did, although he didn't score.

Lars has a chance. Rosenborg coach Høgmo stated a few days ago that that starting GK decision is the hardest one facing him this preseason.

There was a big article on Lars today on fotball.adressa.no; I will try to translate it and post it over the weekend.

Morning. Lets see where we're at.

Coleman starts the same 11 who took Chelsea for 3 points last week so that puts Radz firmly on the sub’s bench at Villa Park. Important match in that the winner is pretty much guaranteed to be safe from The Drop with a few more fixtures left yet this season.

Marc Bircham starts once again as QPR visit playoff contender Cardiff City. Going to be a tough one for Rangers.

Pesch is in his usual spot, the sub’s bench as Derby host Crystal Palace, another playoff contender.

JDV is in his usual spot today at Portman Road and starts for Ipswich against Hull. A-gin no Peters anywhere. Anywhere on the roster that is.

Ian Hume starts as Reading visit Leicester. With the dramatics Leicester seems to like to pull off at The Walkers becoming something of a tradition this season who knows? Just hope the dramatics end in smiles and not tears….

Saints at Bramall Lane and Brennan has the start. A permanent fixture in the Southampton lineup since his move from Norwich. Man, tough draws for our lads this afternoon. The Blades have Watford nipping at their heels and will be Hell bent for the max. points today.

No Simpson as Watford host Millwall.

Inverness are at Easter Road today and Richard Hastings has the start. Should be a lively one today as both sides very much have something to play for. Hard to imagine Hibs not coming away the stronger to be honest.

No Dodds for Kilmarnock who're up 2-nil against Dundee United @ Tannadice.

Radz sub’d in at the 62min for Collins John. Nil-nil at Villa Park.

Bircham goes the 90 as QPR draw Cardiff nil-nil.

Pesch stays on the bench at Pride Park as Derby grab a late penalty to beat Crystal Palace 2-1. Inigo Idiakez with both markers. Grand victory for Derby.

Ends 1-1 at Portman Road with JDV playing the duration. Corts 58th min goal canceling out Ipswich’s lead.

Hume scores in the 38th is carded in the 77th and sub’d off in the 84th for Andrew Welsh. Busy day. Reading’s Kevin Doyle promptly scores and Reading come away with the late 1-1 draw. Tough break for Leicester.

JB plays the 90 as Sheffield United hand Southampton a 3-nil loss. Thanks for coming out.

Speaking on grand victories Inverness take 3 points from Hibs at Easter Road finishing up 2-nil. Hastings plays all 90 as Caledonian Thistle move into 6th place just 2 matchs from the split. Whoo hoo!

Lillestrøm beat Djurgården 1-0 to advance to the Royal League final with a 4-1 aggregate.

The winning goal was scored on a pk, and Olivier was involved in the situation that led to it; he sent his strike partner Myklebust clear with a lovely pass, and the defender had to pull him down to prevent a goal.

In the 71st minute Olivier was subbed out, most likely to protect him from picking up a yellow and being suspended from the final.

Lilliestrøm will meet KC København in the final, to be played April 6 in Copenhagen.

Morning.

Early today in the Eredivisie Feyenoord are upset by Ado Den Haag 2-nil. Jonathan de Guzman going (as per usual) the full 90. Feyenoord remain in 3rd and loose a bit more ground on 2nd as AZ Alkmaar won their match away to RKJ Waalwijk.

‘Spurs host West Brom tomorrow. Almost a must win match for Tottenham as both Blackburn and Arsenal are nipping at the heels and ‘Spurs finish the season on a tough schedule.

Marcel played 90, they beat Volendam who were ahead of them in the standings and are now a point behind. Two games left in the league for Helmond who I do not think are assured a playoff spot quite yet, things tight there.

In a 4-0 loss to Real Madrid Julian de Guzman came on at the half for Depor and seemed to be quite active, trying to go forward, combining with the strikers and even shooting, fouling and being fouled (mixing it up with Graveson). The team in the end did not get a single shot on goal, were said to not show the right attitude, and were wiped off the map. I think, from listening to the game, that Julian would be one of the few Depor players who could be let off the hook and would be given good marks for his efforts.

Dani Fernandes played the whole match in a 2-1 win over Kallithea in Greek top flight. The game was played behind closed doors after crowd trouble in the last visit of Olympiakos. The team are in 6th with five games left. Not sure what spot gives them a chance at an early UEFA round.

Fernando Aguiar played 90 as Gondomar could only draw Feirense 2-2 away in the Liga de Honra. Gondomar are seven back of the promotion spot held by Desportivo Aves with six games left; a win would have made promotion a more realistic possibility.

Next week they play bottom of the table Maia, the town where Aguiar lives, at home on the other side of Oporto.

Restructuring of the Portuguese top flight down to 16 teams means that this year four teams drop out and only two go up, making it all the more difficult to promote.

Marco Bras did not figure for Pampilhosa in third tier play, he has not come into the squad since being red-carded in February and losing his starting spot with the suspension. The team has no chance of promotion though lie in 5th spot.

Jol sticks with the squad that got the win over Birmingham last week, which means that Stalteri sits out again as Spurs face WBA.

Kelly's been talking again about moving on so I'm sure that's playing it's part. Jol as much as said in one articule that had 'Spurs played more games this season Kelly would have seen more action, but they didn't, so neither did he. More or less told Kelly he wants to keep him, but Diesel is the #1 right 'back.

Not the best display at White Hart Lane apparently. 'Spurs rob West Brom with a 2nd half penalty I believe for the the 2-1 win. The SkySports player ratings have Kelly at a 6 from the panel and even a 5.8 from the fans (which catchs the eye).

'Spurs away to Newcastle Saturday. See who starts at St. James'.
