There is a video of the winning goal here. Van Oekel really should have stopped that and his movement and positioning on the whole play was very weak.

Not the result I would have hoped for, and yes, Van Oekel is terrible. But it is great to see how much the players care about this little cup of ours. And was nice to see Vancouver at least give the impression that they were interested in winning this thing, fielding several of their important starters. And a good Eddies crowd, undoubtedly with some people seeing their first game. Hopefully they had fun and come back.

Wow another last-minute stoppage time loss for Edmonton? That's rough but at least they can be proud of the fact they competed and took it to a top MLS side.. Agreed that last goal was a little weak but Van Oekel had a bunch of bodies in front of him and the Eddies D was all over the place on that set piece. Hope to see them make the playoffs in the league this year; lord knows Ottawa hasn't shown much so far..

Yet another dagger to the heart. Not sure what Miller sees in MVO, yes he has shown some good saves, but also lets in real soft ones. There are no in between.
Happy that we showed we can play with the big boys, and that we had the best crowd ever at Clarke. Still hurts though..

It was just over 3,800, but in regards to humans actually present it was a better crowd then ones we had that were over 4,300. At least it felt that way.

The set-up of Clarke.  It looked like there were quite a few empty seats on the stand directly opposite the main cameras but on a smaller stand to the right (quite a bit behind the goal-line) it appeared to be full.  Seemed to be a worse angle to watch the game.

 

Is that smaller stand for supporters groups or is it just cheaper?
