Sam
Well this is fantastic news for women's soccer in Ontario at least. League1 Ontario will have a women's division in addition to the men's division next year. http://www.ontariosoccer.ca/OSABlog/index.php/archives/10452

Blackdude
I wonder if PLSQ will follow. They have a clause in their rules that would allow one to start if the competition comitee agrees with it. Still, they would need 5 teams to start it.
Red and White
That's great news, hope the USL W League clubs jump ship. Agreed. Having the four Ontario W-League clubs would be a good base to this league. All should have various levels of experience in professional environments. So I suppose the format will resemble the mens L1O, with matches from approximately May-October? If so, that's a huge improvement to how W-League is currently set up, with games mostly running May-July. The longer season will benefit these clubs. Vic
Windsor to Ottawa is nine hours. Toronto to Montreal is six. The Germans took down the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the two most populated areas in Canada can't even play a simple game of soccer unless they get the Americans to do it for them. Imagine if the players off the field ever had the commitment of the players on the field to play alongside and compete with the best regardless of who or where they came from.
