Vic
Live now, pretty amazing hologram-based on-stage production. http://www.fifa.com/ballondor/news/newsid=1360028/index.html Major league kudos to FIFA for their presentation of the female POTY on equal footing with the male POTY in the production. That's wonderful to see. A women's best 11 would be nice, but one step at a time I guess. Women's coach: Neid Men's coach: Mourinho Presidential: Desmond Tutu Fair Play: Haiti U17 Women's team Puskás: Hamit Altintop (nice one-time volley but 17yr old Kumi Yokoyama completely robbed - her goal at about 0:15 below Altintop's) Woman: Marta Man: Messi Altintop's goal: Yokoyama's goal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J690BFfZR-
canucklefan
Those were the top 10 goals for the FIFA Puskas award 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A5u_84O6tg EDIT: the video above is incomplete, this is the 10th missing goal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQlm0FQgivI&NR=
The Ref
17yr old Kumi Yokoyama completely robbed Yokoyama's goal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J690BFfZR-0 No doubt about it. I guess that was part of Prinz's criticism of FIFA during the press conference for the women.
Unnamed Trialist
Neil Davidson, CDN Press vote, took Xavi, Messi and Forlan. Hart voted for Sneijder, Xavi and Casillas. Stalteri, as Canada captain, went for Xavi, Messi and Cristiano. That would make our vote Xavi, Messi and Sneijder in that order. All fair votes as far as I can see, no one can say there is only one criteria for voting.
alberta white
No doubt about it. I guess that was part of Prinz's criticism of FIFA during the press conference for the women. Womens version of Sami Nassri. Personally I prefer this one. But hey we dont get to vote. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/9356023.stm
squizz1402635577
Having seen clips of her other goals at that tourney, Yokoyama's ridiculous run against North Korea was definitely no fluke. Here's hoping he get to see her perform in person at Canada 2015.
