Bunbury appears to be pencilled in as starting striker, and he played alone up front in a 2-0 preseason victory for the Wizards over AC St Louis on Friday:

"Bunbury was sort of on an island by himself — he's not quite a target man yet but he's also not a lone wolf. He showed a lot of one-on-one potential late in the game, but it was wasted by a bad shot."

In English Championship play Ipswich (Peters) defeated Barnsley(Hume), both players came off the subs bench in the second half! In League One, Jackson came off the bench in the second half for Gillingham in a 2-2 draw at Charlton! There was no sign of Haber in Exeters' 2-2 draw at Wycombe!

Seriously good thing him and Gaudet found teams they are too good to be playing in local Canadian leagues

Gaudet played the furst half of a 1-1 Portland draw with the Earthquakes on Saturday. No sign of Ribiero or Ross Smith.

There is some speculation that Ribiero may get cut today:

Robles is an upgrade from Ribeiro (me making the assumption he'll get cut today).

Ring is an upgrade from Elliott (who might get cut today too).

Edit - Indeed, Ribiero was waived:

For those who will have the chance to watch it, at 15h00 ET, Hutchinson club plays against Bernier club, FC Copenhagen - FC Nordsjælland.

The battle of the Canadians central midfielders is won by Patrice Bernier who scored a goal in the FCN 2-0 win over FCK. Both started and played the whole game.

Edson Edward came on in the 77th minute of Dallas' 2-1 victory over Columbus in the Pioneer Cup on Saturday:

Great picture of him in the snow here:

Hopefully he wins a contract! He looked really good in the videos I saw he looked way above the level he was playing at (in college). Only 21/22 years old he could be a very good MNT player if he pans out.

That would have been a good game to watch, the maligned Bernier up against the more popular Hutchinson (at least, judging from this board).

I also heard that Edward got a contract offer. I think it’s a good move. He’s young (21), big, strong, and fast. He has a great work ethic and can play mulitple positions (he played 5 different positions in college). I think it’s a good move, if it actually gets done."

Sounds like the contract offer is probably true - would it have been a minimum salary offe that he might want to take his time onsidering, I wonder?
