MTL_4_LIFE
What was the final score for the Islanders?

TheKottonmouthed1555362307
Hard to believe 2 USL teams could make it farther than the MLS teams. Dynamo got knocked on a 4-1 on aggregate against Atlante. so If the Impact win tonight there is a outside chance the Finals could be 2 USL teams although it would be pretty unreal if Cruz Azul and Atlante do not end up in the Finals. I would be interested to see somebody apply the formula that UEFA uses to rank leagues based on Cup performances. Of course, UEFA leagues match up more nicely by country (not perfectly). Here we have the strange situation of two American leagues, and the more successful one in this tournament is represented by two teams from outside of the USA. coppercanuck
I've been attempting that task ... including the qualifying matches the 6 MLS teams average 4.073 and 12 USL-1 teams 3.391. Tough to apply the UEFA formula, even Mexico has a play-off round. League, Play-off and Open Cup for the MLS; how would you rank them?
MegasAlexandros1555362277
I don't see how the 12 USL teams come into play here, only 2 of them have participated in the CCL??
coppercanuck
sorry, I was trying to include all the qualifying stages. Just looking at the CCL only (knock-out, group and prelim phases) .... USL-1 15.25, Mex 14.375, Hon 11.375, Pan 7.375, Tri (1 team) 6.0, CRC 5.125, MLS 4.0625. Formulas are close to this http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/data/method3/ccoef2008.html
MegasAlexandros1555362277
There you go, now those numbers sound about right considering the results we have seen so far. Nice work!
