We've been watching streams and p2ptv. CBC streamed the first two games on cbcsports.ca but at the last minute yanked the Denmark game the other night.

It's currently not on their list of events to be streamed. Hopefully one of the representatives will let people know soon.

Match of the day

Germany-Canada, 8 November, 13.00 local time, Wellington

"Everything has gone according to plan for Germany so far here in New Zealand. Winners of their first two games to book their place in the next round with a match to spare, the Europeans needed just 15 minutes to open the scoring against Costa Rica, five minutes to do so against Ghana and a mere 180 seconds to find the net against Korea DPR.

Up against them are a Canadian team that conceded just once in their three first-round matches. Coach Bryan Rosenfeld can also call upon the safe hands of Genevieve Richard, one of the outstanding goalkeepers on show during the group phase. With Germany the heavy favourites to progress, the pressure is off the young Canucks, who will nevertheless be determined to pull off a surprise."

Soccer: Form points to Japanese win

"Germany did well, with 29 of their 43 attempts on target and nine in the net which was second-best and a warning to the Canadians who meet them at Westpac Stadium this afternoon."

"The German goalkeeper was largely unemployed, called on to make just three saves [in the entire group stage]. Korea DPR, who play Denmark in the first of today's quarter-finals in Wellington, made seven saves while their South Korean neighbours, against the United States in the last quarter-final tomorrow, came in fourth with nine saves."

"Japan and Germany, who can only meet in the final, are joint favourites with the TAB at $3.25. The US are next at $5 while Denmark and Canada who won through from group A are at $25."

Considering the North Korea 4-0 over Denmark, where the Danes didn't even get a single shot on net, I would say we're in deep.

The German keeper has now been called on to make a total of 3 saves in 4 games. That's one save every 2 hours of play.
