Massive Attack
The Canadian rep will play the Nicaraguan champs: http://concacaf.com/competitions/champsleague/index.aspx Matches to be played on August 26-28 and September 2-4. The Canadian rep will be home for the first leg. This is good news. The chances of their being a Canadian team in the Group Stage look pretty good. Free kick
From what we know of Nicaraguan soccer, I think that we can safely say that ( regardless who the Canadian rep is ) we will have a team in the group stage. Impossible to have gotten a more favourable draw. The three clubs might be able to advance with their reserve team.

Raven
If the Impact are the Canadian representative, they have a busy schedule to deal with around those dates. Taken from the Impact supporters forum: "Dimanche 24 août 19h30 Impact Montréal - Atlanta Silverbacks Mercredi 27 août 19h30 Impact Montréal - Portland Timbers Samedi 30 août 19h30 Carolina Railhawks - Impact Montréal Mercredi 3 septembre 19h30 Impact Montréal - Rochester Raging Rhinos Vendredi 5 septembre 19h30 Impact Montréal - Minnesota Thunder "
Daniel
Hurray for coordinated scheduling! Hopefully, next VCup's schedule will come out earlier than early in the season...
Oldtimer
Depending on which team represents Nicaragua, TFC will either play in one or other of two dismal excuses for stadia.

finchster
quote:Originally posted by Daniel BMO or Swangard? [)] Swangard is probably on level with stadiums for the top teams in Nicaragua (with some wikipedia research ). I think if the whitecaps were going to some how win then they would have to invest in some turf allowed by Fifa for BC place in a hurry. There is no way they could/should play those group stage games at Swangard.
