Gold Cup 2007 and 2009

Recommended Posts

With the current state of affairs in Canadian football can Canada compete and advance in the Gold Cup this summer or has the CSA

buggered it to the point that a decent showing is the best we

can hope for at this late stage. And with Canada suppose to host the Tornament in 2009 with the Final at BMO Field will Canada still be struggling to put a team on the field on a regular basis? Hell will

they have a new manager by then?

Just one question, is it for sure that we are hosting in 2009 or is it just assumed? I know ive seen it on here before but Im not sure if it was an idea people had or an actual release made by concacaf or whoever makes the decisions.

I think it's assumed that we'll host one of the groups in Toronto. First i've heard of the final being held here....

Before the groundbreaking...

Pipe says the CSA has already bid to host the CONCACAF 2008 women's Olympic qualifying tournament, adding Toronto has already been confirmed as one of the host sites for the 2009 men's Gold Cup

No. Its just the poster making things up. look at other posts and you will notice that he has also said that signing Rona as sponsor would mean commercial stopages in play.

You saying it won't? I watched the Revs/TFC match on the score to avoid the nonscence of tickers and unwanted commericals Canadian tv

forces on it's viewers. As far as 2009 im 99% sure were hosting it.
