If they can pull it off in time, it would be great to have a wide range of Canadian artists at Downsview (or a similar open space within other Canadian cities).

I wonder what the ratio is of performers-doing-it-for-legitimate-charity-reasons versus those-just-looking-for-some-more-face-time. With acts like Snoop Dogg, Velvet Revolver and 50 Cent in the mix, and certainly won't all be musical philanthropists.

Almost makes one think that the CSA is involved.

It is still early and I am sure more will come on board, but I echo your sentimentst that this line-up, geographic restrictions removed, wouldn't motivate me to go anywhere but the can. Watch out for a reformed Guess Who/BTO reunion.
