Free kick
http://maps.google.com/maps I find mapquest pretty useless. Especially if you are a Canadian user. Try this one. Some really cool features. 1) at the top right hand corner of the page, you can switch between the satellite view and the mapview. The zoom will take you to a satelite view as close as your neighborhood. 2) You can move the map at any zoom level by clicking inside the map area and dragging it with your mouse. http://maps.google.com/maps http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=43.654025,-79.584306&spn=0.005933,0.007693&t=k&hl=en Swangard http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=49.231110,-123.021727&spn=0.005933,0.007693&t=k&hl=en CCR http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=45.553565,-73.633976&spn=0.005933,0.007693&t=k&hl=en
Massive Attack
A co-worker showed me this yesterday. It puts mapquest and yahoo maps to shame. The pan function is awesome.
Richard
Google Maps is excellent but it has one major flaw, doesn't recognise street intersections, at least in Canada - Mapquest does.

Well most of the time you don't know that. if you did why would you need to use mapquest. Example, last summer while scoping out accomodations in Edmonton for the trip to see the WCQ, I tried using mapquest to see where the locations were in realtion to the stadium. But it requires you to enter an address for Commonwealth Stadium!!. I'll bet that people who live there don't even know that. I sure as hell couldn't tell you the address of a certain landmark or place of interest in this city. also, scrolling along a map on mapquest is painfully slow. MM
If you are a CAA member, try Caamaps.com. They are developing an on-line Trip Tik.

I found the street address for Commonwealth Stadium on the web in less than 30 seconds: 11000 Stadium Rd, Edmonton, AB and mapquest found it in a jiffy

Loud Mouth Soup
I use Mapquest.co.uk and switch it to Canada as the country. Works better than Mapquest.com, which is quite surprising.

Blue and White Army
Here in England, I usually use Multimap, or failing that, Streetmap. Multimap's recently expanded to include most Western countries, including Canada.

I don't know if this is what you're referring to, but I found Swangard Stadium by entering "Kingsway and Boundary,Burnaby, BC". It produced a map showing the correct intersection (with Swangard nearby).
PaulV
Google Maps has now expanded beyond Canada and the U.S. Not all places are covered, especially at the highest resolution, but many are. Soccer related, here is Azteca: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Mexico+City,+Mexico&ll=19.302775,-99.150689&spn=0.005139,0.007918&t=k&hl=en Here is Highbury in London: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=London,+England&ll=51.558098,-0.102375&spn=0.005139,0.007918&t=k&hl=en I think this is Stadio Olimpico in Rome: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Rome,+Italy&ll=41.933484,12.454934&spn=0.005139,0.007918&t=k&hl=en
