Estonian NT player Kristen Viikmäe scored twice when Enköpings SK, with Kenny Stamatopoulos guarding the goal, defeated Åtvidaberg 3-1 on the road. Moving out of the immediate danger-zone, but only 3 points from the relegation line with 5 more matches to go.

Helsingborg is still in a comfortable mid-table position (presently 7), and I presume that's about where they'll finish. Six games left to play. sstackho
TONY GETS HOT UNDER THE COLLAR EXCLUSIVE by SCOTT BURNS 283 words 20 September 2004 Daily Star 58 English © copyright Express Newspapers 2004 HAPLESS Dundee United keeper Tony Bullock could be out for 10 weeks with a broken collarbone. The battling Englishman suffered the injury after he cleared his lines in a first half 50-50 challenge with Motherwell's David Clarkson during United's 4-2 defeat at Fir Park on Saturday. The 31-year-old admitted was left in shock and ended up coughing up blood but he tried bravely to play on before the pain eventually got too much and he had to be replaced by Lars Hirschfeld at the start of the second half. Bullock said: "I went to Wishaw General Hospital after the game and X-rays confirmed I had broken my collarbone. "The doctor said with that with this sort of injury and the fact I play in goals then I will be out for about 10 weeks. "It is the same injury as Paul Ritchie suffered but because I am a goalkeeper I will probably be out for longer. "I don't know if I need an operation yet, I will probably find that out when I see a specialist over the next few days." The ex-Ross County keeper added: I was just lying there and all I could feel was this pain. "Then I started coughing up blood, so I was a bit concerned. "When the doctor and physio came on to the pitch the pain had eased a bit and I thought I could get through it. "Even at half-time the medical staff thought Iwas OK. "I then went back out and lost two goals. "That was when I knew I had to go off."

Rangers were rewarded for a lively start when Kevin Gallen, the captain, opened the scoring after 16 minutes before Adam Hinshelwood slammed home an equaliser with his first senior goal for the club. Darren Currie put the home side ahead with a superbly executed free kick shortly after he had rattled the crossbar with an identical effort 20 yards from goal. Paul Furlong, the experienced striker, levelled matters for Rangers and Rose's decisive late intervention from long distance clinched Rangers their third away win of the season. Brighton manager Mark McGhee: I had a bad game. I had a poor performance because I couldn't see how to change it when things were going wrong. sstackho
Time to come in Andy by TOM BAXTER 199 words 21 September 2004 Daily Star 54 English © copyright Express Newspapers 2004 Dundee Utd v Clyde DUNDEE UNITED boss Ian McCall has challenged winger Andy McLaren (below) to show that he deserves an extended run in the team by beating Clyde in the CIS Cup tonight. The former Kilmarnock man's only start this season came in the last round of the competition - United's win over Second Division Stranraer. McCall will also field goalkeeper Lars Hirschfeld after regular number one Tony Bullock broke his collarbone at Fir Park and faces up to 10 weeks on the sidelines. "Andy Mwill definitely play, " the United boss confirmed. "It is time for him to show me and show the fans that he is the player we all know he can be. "He has not done it for us yet this season, but he's the type of guy who can have three terrible games in the reserves then come into the first team and play well." Meanwhile, midfielder Karim Kerkar faces another few weeks out after it was discovered that his thigh injury is worse than first feared and is actually torn. The Algerian international signed on a shortterm contract from Clyde a fortnight ago.

Grizzly
Final score Dundee United 4 Clyde 0. Positive that Hirschfeld took the goal kicks as this has always been his weakness. Dundee Utd 4-0 Clyde Jim McIntyre headed home United's first goal Grant Brebner scored his first Dundee United goal as Clyde were swept aside in the CIS Insurance Cup. Striker Jim McIntyre headed in an Andy McLaren cross after 34 minutes to settle the home side. Barry Robson added a fine strike from 18 yards right on the half-time whistle and the same player crossed for Brebner to head home after 54 minutes. Mark Wilson fired in a 61st minute penalty after Stuart Balmer was judged to have handled the ball. United gave Canadian international Lars Hirschfeld his first start, in place of regular goalkeeper Tony Bullock, who broke his collarbone at the weekend. He was called into action as early as the ninth minute and had to be grateful to David McCracken for clearing off the line after Ian Harty skipped around him inside the box before firing a shot on target. Clyde created the better early opportunities and had another great chance to open the scoring on 20 minutes when McCracken sliced Gary Arbuckle's dangerous low cross wide. McIntyre headed a good chance over from six yards and soon after found the mark, when a wicked McLaren cross from the right eliminated the Clyde rearguard. Visiting goalkeeper Bryn Halliwell then expertly tipped Robson's powerful shot over the bar and had to look smart to deny McIntyre. Clyde's early spirit appeared to have been sapped and they made their task doubly difficult by conceding an 18-yard Robson drive just as referee Dougie McDonald was about to blow for the interval. The men from Lanarkshire found themselves three down 10 minutes after the break. Robson whipped in a delightful right-foot cross for Brebner and the former Hibs man dived in ahead of everyone to open his Tannadice account. Halliwell kept his side within a respectable distance of their hosts by saving Wilson's powerful free-kick but was picking the ball out of the net again seconds later after a penalty awarded for Balmer's handball. The Scotland Under-21 man stepped up to take the kick and, as he did against Aberdeen a fortnight ago, blasted it beyond the goalkeeper's left hand into the far corner. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dundee Utd: Hirschfeld, Wilson (Dodds 69), McCracken, Innes, Archibald, Duff, McInnes, Brebner, Robson, McLaren (Scotland 64), McIntyre (Samuel 73).
