Paraguay was also at the first World Cup but more likely still in because head of Conmebol is from the country while Chile got tossed aside. 2030 World Cup hosts was expected to be announced at the 2024 FIFA Congress but there was a chance the process could be expedited if bids dropped out and/or an arrangement came into place.
