The Lies of the Toronto SUN about TFC

I would wish that the Toronto SUN stop saying lies about TFC. According to this trashy article it states that the season ticket waiting list does not exist and that hardly no one is showing up to the home opener.

I got news for this SUN reporter, TFC has managed to sell-out the 2011 season. Toronto SUN, stop saying lies. I hate liars.

Can someone get hold of the editor of the SUN and launch a serious protest against this idiot.

According to this article they sold-out the season.

That's referring to the season ticket packages though. The Wheeler article is indicating that the individual tickets are still available and a tougher sell right now - what with the team continually struggling & prices being raised correspondingly, and the weather expected to be cold given that we're only in friggin' March and with the general reputation that you can never get a TFC ticket because they are always sold out so people don't try, it's not actually that surprising to me. I wouldn't be surprised to see a slight attendance dip this year, but then rise again as the sport continues to grown in the country (Saturday's best-ever ratings are a sign of that) and the team improves from what it currently is (hopefully that will happen this season, but I remain cautious).

Wheeler is actually pro-soccer, so I doubt that he's making this all up just to get at the sport. Had it been written by Bruce Dowbiggin or somebody else known to diss the sport, then I'd be more inclined to believe the accuracy of the piece.
