Soccerpro
Fantastic game, however the poor sportsmanship by both teams was terrible. It's no coincidence when you go watch a high level youth u16 or u18 boys game that the kids act like little a.sses after they watch these games. For example Deco goes down like he's been shot, Terry boots the ball at him while he's down, then Deco jumps up miraciously and proves he was never hurt by running towards Terry. UEFA need to implement video review of diving in games and issue fines just like the NHL. People will complain at first and then they will stop doing it. It has been tolerated too long in this game. jonovision
I think the fact that Terry would kick the ball at a player on the ground is just as bad as the dive itself.
Soccerpro
I agree, the fouling that was going on all over the game was awful too and was not to be ignored.

Drogba embarrassed himself the most (apart from Mourinho of course). Not surprised he scored in injury time. HE must have been well-rested after spending the first 60 minutes of the match on the ground.
Alex
Guys that act like that are all just pansies, Id do much more than kick the ball at him when hes down. If the guy falls and rolls around because hes faking it he should get a kick in the head. It happens in every country and its embarrassing. Manuel
How did Mourinho embarrass himself? Why, because he slid on the grass, in his $3000 suit, with both knees, when Drogba scored? That was priceless. How about Frank Rijkaard running likes a mad man toward the ref at the end of the game. Now that was embarrassing, especially becuase he said before the game that only losers complain about the refs at the Nou Camp.

But I was referring to when he embarrassed himself by insulting just about everyone and everything from Gudjohnsen to Spanish culture before the match. Of course I can see WHY he talked about Spain teaches players to dive (although it was a little amusing hearing that from a Portuguese person) -- he was just trying to influence the officials. But then after the match he accuses Barcelona players of trying to influence the referee into giving Chelsea players yellow-cards during the match. (which they were, but then again so was Drogba) Total hypocrite. [:0]
Manuel
Nice pictures. I'm sure if I looked I could find one with Mourihno holding that same cup.

Bet you could. Unfortunately for Mourinho, when he went to a start-studded team like Chelsea he probably thought the CL trophies would just come pouring-in. Instead, 2 years in-a-row he gets steam-rolled by the team that eventually goes on to win it. Both times Chelsea went-out with a wimper. Barca = 2006 Champions, Liverpool = 2005 Champions, Chelsea = nada []

Manuel
Steam rolled? You make it sound like they were killed 10-0 in against those teams. They lost 1-0 to Liverpool on what seemed like a no goal, and the lost last year to Barca, do to plying 80% of the first game at home a man down, on an iffy call. You have to be good to win the Champions league, but you also need luck. Chelsea hasn't had any luck in the last two years. In their draws and in their games. Let’s see what happens this year. Barcelona is probably the only team this century to win the Champs League who can actually make a valid claim that they were the best team in Europe. And they still needed some luck against Milan (altho Barca were robbed of a goal against Arsenal and Chelsea was gifted a penalty, so Barca had bad luck too). Chelsea has had some luck the past 2 years, but they just didn't take advantage of it. They only have themselves to blame for facing Barcelona in the second-round last season after not winning a pretty ordinary group.
