argh1
Way to go M.Gagné. This has got to make him the highest paid Canadian pro athlete as there's no NHL or even with the NHL. LA Dodger he will remain. Hmmmmm how could I spend 8.5 million US greenbacks a year...........

amacpher
Surely Nash in the NBA makes more than that, no?
CanadianSoccerFan
I believe Steve Nash signed for 6 years and 60 million this past summer.
SeanKeay
And Stevie is definatly, going to win MVP if the nba is smart enough to see how bad the suns are doing without him in the lineup
BC supporter
Steve Nash: 5 years, $65 million contract signed this season. Larry Walker: $12.7 million (2004), $12.5 million (2005).
devioustrevor
Nash's contract also had a team option for a sixth season at $15M if I recall.

CanadianSoccerFan
We can safely say that Nash is worth the money he's getting. Suns are the best team in the NBA with Nash and the worst in the NBA when he's injured. You can even look at his play for Canada. Without him we lost to teams such as Angola but with him we continually upset teams we have no business beating.
devioustrevor
Yeah. Beating Yugoslavia and then Russia within days of each other in the 2000 Olympics is probably the greatest success in the history of Canadian Basketball.
