kind of strange that the offside rule doesn't apply to canadians.

both of your goals were clear offsides, in the latter one ratsinski was about 20 yards offside.

Funny, we get those goals scored against us all the time. Consider yourself lucky you don't have to play away games in Central America.

is soccercentre on today?

No, but this match will be shown at 7pm. And Canada vs. US in the women is on at 3:30pm.

And Italy vs. Azerbaijan starts at 2:30 pm, lots of soccer on tv today.

At least the end scoreline sounds respectable, if nothing else.

so what?

for example turkey, greece & serbia + other eastern countries always get the usual bonuses from the refs plus the fact is that even without the biased refs they are 10 times better than you s h i t honduras, cuba + other c-grade ass splashers.

Ahhh Mr. Qualitynick I think Canada has a better chance of making it to WC 2006 than your little Country!!..First start by trying to qualify for Euro 2004, which is impossible!!..We`ll see you (in the stands) in Germany!!..while we`ll be on the pitch!!!...

Finland isn't better than Honduras. They whipped Slovenia 5-0, a team that actually qualified for the world cup. The US and Mexico would whip your team. 3-2 for Canada in Finland isn't a bad result, especially considering the donkeys on their backline.

If we had played with our 1st team for the full 90 minutes your lumberjacks would have lost 9-0.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda but didn't. 3-2..Not exactly the result you were looking for against a soccer minnow, is it?

Are we allowed to make the same excuse about not having our full side, or is that reserved for Finnish fans to use only? Heck, we didn't even have a full time coach, as exemplified by the squad he chose & played. At least I hope he doesn't become full-time.

Thanks to those Fins who were kind enough to provide updates without trash talking.

To be honest, Finland played very badly but Canada was just horrible!

And referees... might be better that I don't say nothing

Could you tell us anything about the subs, on the site posted above from Finnish tv the Finns had five subs, Canada none. Wonder if this is so.

Whether Finland is better than Honduras remains to be seen, but you said it about our backline. Canada will not qualify for the World Cup with two long-ball specialists with poor ball control skills flanking a central defender who has not played that position for club or country in several months.

Thankfully we have other & better options to use back there - many of them in fact. It remains to be seen whether a new coach will try them out.

On the positive side for Canada, De Ro & Radzinski have a combined 5 goals in the past 2 & a half games they have played together for Canada, all against fairly decent European opposition in their home parks. Funny how the tide has turned - in the old days Canadian fans were tended to be unhappy with the strikers but satisfied with the defense.
