davey_twelve
Pacific had three 1-0 victories in June last year and three straight clean sheets in September the year before. Not sure what the CPL record for consecutive cleans sheets is though...
shorty
I think the improvement is less of a back line thing and more of a team shape thing. Last year we looked for breaks on the counter, which was exciting when it worked, but also left us stretched when it didn't. The whole team is staying really compact, which on the one hand means fewer goals for because we aren't over-committing to the break, but also means we're shutting things down at the back. Also I noticed good CB cover for the FBs when they do get beaten. Musse broke through a couple of times but Ndom was alive to it when he did. Overall, Calgary seemed pretty frustrated. Playing this way requires good hold-up play up front, and they seem to be getting that from Moore. Zanatta seemed to want the ball over the top more, and seemed less willing to come back to the ball with back to goal which resulted in a couple of turnovers. Little to complain about though when you take a point and a clean sheet away in Calgary. gator
