http://www.nasl.com/news/2016/03/22/north-american-soccer-league-one-world-sports--set-to-kick-off-second-season-of-broadcast-partnership

ONE World Sports will carry 11 Saturday games – one per week – during the NASL Spring Season and 12 games during the Fall Season. Broadcasting veterans JP Dellacamera, Ed Cohen, Shep Messing, and Janusz Michallik will serve as the on-air talent this year. The NASL Game of the Week will move from Saturdays to Wednesdays for the Fall Season, which starts in July. The NASL Game of the Week schedule for the Spring Season can be found here

In addition to TV viewers having access to NASL action through their cable providers, fans across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico will be able to watch unrestricted live streams of games on ONEWorldSports.com.

So good news for Canadian NASL fans is they will be able to watch OWS livestreams on the website for 2016.

Still good news for Canadian NASL fans as the OWS livestreams were locked out last season but won't be this season.

Hopefully the rumoured Bein Sports TV NASL deal for 2016 will include Bein Sports TV Canada for TV coverage although its mostly available in eastern Canada with the exception of Shaw satellite service in the west I think.

NASL announces television partnership with beIN Sports

http://www.twiceacosmo.com/2016/3/30/11331610/nasl-announces-television-partnership-with-bein-sports

BeIN is currently the American home to La Liga, Serie A, and Ligue 1 in addition to the English League Cup and many international matches. While the network isn't available in as many homes as FS1, NBCSN, or ESPN, it's quite a bit more accessible than ONE World Sports, the home of the New York Cosmos, and the league's other television partner.

Good news for Canadians is matches will also be available on BeinSports Canada TV and their connect online platform.

So before y'all go and order beIN, it's only the matches on the network that's shown. There's still the deal with ESPN3 which means that all matches will be shown on NASL.com for Canadians.

Yup, So in summary for Canada :

34 matches on BeinSports Canada TV

100 + others on ESPN3 (Free on NASL.com for Canada)

23 others on OneWorldSports (Free on OneWorldSports.com for Canada)

This is not including local TV deals for FC Edmonton and Ottawa Fury FC which have yet to be announced.

NASL will continue to stream matches on ESPN3 in 2016 as well

http://www.twiceacosmo.com/2016/3/30/11333156/nasl-will-continue-to-stream-matches-on-espn3-in-2016

"The league has confirmed that they've extended their agreement with ESPN3, who will continue to stream matches, with over 100 in total to be shown throughout the 2016 season.

In a bit of an ironic twist, Wednesday's announcements mean that it will actually be easier for American fans to follow an out of market NASL club this season than it is to follow an out of market MLS franchise, despite the league's division two sanctioning. Progress... "

Increased exposure for the NASL on TV Nationally with OneWorldSports being added on DirecTV USA's sports package in HD :

DirecTV adds One World Sports to programming lineup

http://worldsoccertalk.com/2016/09/05/directv-adds-one-world-sports-programming-lineup/

"The distribution on DirecTV, which went live this morning, is a major step forward for the network in increasing its distribution to sports fans across the United States. Currently, One World Sport is carried by multiple providers such as Verizon, RCN, Atlantic Broadband as well as specialty streaming service fuboTV (free trial). Losing distribution on DISH can be seen as a loss for the sports channel but considering their limited exposure on the provider as an ethnic channel, their addition to DirecTV Sports Package lineup is a huge plus for the Connecticut-based network.

The news will come as welcome relief to the second-division NASL in helping games on One World Sports reach a wider audience."

I guess this is being talked up because they were dropped from the main channel of beIN Sports to make way for low level college football? To give an idea of the typical audience for an NASL broadcast in that context:

https://worldsoccertalk.com/2016/09/03/nasl-first-casualty-college-football-bein-sports/

The network has given the second division league a chance. However, the average viewing audience for NASL games on beIN SPORTS for the 2016 season is only 6.652.

Trying to be a competitor rather than a feeder system for MLS isn't working out too well.

beIN Sports USA pushing NASL to tape delay and moving live games to the beIN Spanish for the remainder of the season is understandable as they'll be showing american college football instead which draws well in the USA. Its possible NASL games will be back to live on the english channel in the football off season next year.

This is being talked up as it gives the NASL a greater audience being on DirecTV as opposed to what they had on Dish. It also will be presented in HD as opposed to a mix of SD/HD and OWS is now included in a sports package so it ends up being a plus for the NASL.
