TFCRegina
Look guys, if we can't beat Guatemala, we can't beat every team (bar Cuba) in the 3rd Round. Might as well not dread about it.

Free kick
Look guys, if we can't beat Guatemala, we can't beat every team (bar Cuba) in the 3rd Round. Might as well not dread about it. Well i got news for you. I have been following the WC and intl soccer since the eighties and i can tell you this: nobody who went to tne finals got there by playing the same schedule. And there are certainly anywhere from 6-10 sides at the WC that are weaker than many better sides who didnt make it. You will find a ton of sides who owe everything to getting the right draw. In fact it might be the majority. Unless you are Brazil, germany, Italy ...etc. It matters. Hoping for tough draw defies logic. It could mean as many as sisteen fewer games to watch and follow than otherwise. And how would that help for 2018.
alberta white
Agreed. Plenty of UEFA teams and South American sides who could beat African/ asian/ and Concacaf teams....well perhaps not so much the Asian top 4 but say Belgium, Croatia or Scotland against say morocco or Jamaca?
