He would be a prime catch. A proven finisher. Now which teams can afford him? His contract runs out in 2014.
jpg75
He'll be turning 33 by then, I think i'll wait and see what happens in the next 3 1/2 years before getting too excited.
jpoma
If he comes, he'll end up in LA or NY. Those are the only markets named DPs will likely play in.

Yea probably the only ones who can afford them. LA will need someone to replace Becks before that however and it appears Ronaldhino may be heading back to Brazil and not to LA. tmcmurph
Don't hold your breath, MLS doesn't like transfers. That and Henry wasn't producing and at 10 mil a year was the worlds most expensive bench warmer. Barca didn't expect or get anything for letting Henry go. They just were glad to free up the money for Villa.

Barca didn't expect or get anything for letting Henry go. They just were glad to free up the money for Villa. Exactly, New York was doing them a favour taking him off their hands. AFAIK there wasn't a transfer fee paid either, the remaining salary Henry was owed was being rolled into his new contract with NY. For Ibrahimovic to be available and affordable (and willing) to come to MLS before his contract expires he would have to see his productivity decrease markedly and therefore Milan not wanting him. Otherwise, it's going to cost ALOT. Is any ownership group in MLS going to fork out $20M for a transfer fee to bring him in early (2012? 2013?)? TheKottonmouthed1555362307
won't happen and even if it does it will be in like 3 years and he won't be as a relevant star but a player looking for a retirement contract. Like the above poster said if he comes early it will have to be because hes goes into a nose dive in form and becomes unwanted.
