Trillium
Okay ..so finally in BA ensconced in a trendy area full of bars and resturants..... the city has a hot feel to it as if its very vibrant and loves to party. One hopes the boys will get a few nights out then settle down to hard work on Friday ...on. Check your last minute aire fare deals... pretty sure you could fly down and party and not break the bank. Have fun at the viewing parties.
TFCRegina
For those who are going, buy a suit...like an armani when you're down there. Argentine Tailors sell them for half their North American value...you can get a $1200 suit for $600...my brother bought 2 on his last trip there (his wife is from Brazil, visits often). Trillium
Doug, did you ask the chef to make you poutine? Dude, you stopped off in Brasil on the way down? Remo vs. Aguia eh, which level? Para state championship.... kid in net for Aguia was great.... National team quality in Canada.... oh yeah you could get him for under 30k a year salary and a transfer of 50k.... how long to Canadian citizen ship ? Would love to see a CSL club with ambition come down and really look for young talent in the hinterlands here. Blend them with a few old pro's and some young canadians and you could build a powerhouse with the right resouces.... and if we let CSL champs into V cup .. the paydays would come. I went for a leather jacket... loved the price dicker and sure i did not get the best price but a fair one. Someone asked about poutine.. which brings up its winter here.. I am walking in tee shirts and sweating and locals are in sweaters or jackets or worse... blow me away. I like the city but the people...mmm not sure yet they dont have a lot of joy ..today hundreds of thousands downtown walking on huge streets and plazas... but no smiles.. i mean seriously the average argentine has a tough time cracking a random smile on the street... they seem closed down as if to be joyous is not in there nature. Would love comments from others maybe its me...but i can get more joy and genuine friendly response in the back woods of Brasil then here .... City bars lovely restaurants good... friendly factor 3 on 10.
