Jimmy
In Sunday's Deportivo 0-0 draw with Mallorca, Julian was Depor's captain, so a big congrats due out to him. I am sure there will be other occasions that he gets the honor. Surely just a matter of time before he is Canada's captain too. Huge achievement for a great player. SilverSamurai
JDG should be the captain. Stalteri shouldn't really even be a starter since he's not even playing. Time for him to step aside IMO.

JDG is playing at the highest level (yes, the EPL/La Liga comparisons could go on forever...) but he's at the top of his game, that alone proves he should be the captain! Time for a Julian for Captain banner? lol

The captain is the guy who provides guts, inspiration and leadership. In the last game that wasn't him.

Looking back at the last year or so though, I'd say JDG has shown plenty of inspiration and leadership.

Bertuzzi44
JDG is also great with the press. He is a much better interviewer than Stalteri IMO, and is more active organizing local events (like parties and workshops). Also, speaking of media attention, I think Stalteri has a face only a mother could love [] No but seriously, JDG for captain!
Sam
De Guzman also plays an integral role in starting up most of Canada's attack so if he were more vocal out there it would really help us move forward under s good leader. Something we've struggled with in recent matches.
