beachesl
What are the rules concerning Canadian, American and International Players regarding limits for both Toronto and the other MLS teams? Sorry, but I have been a bit out of circulation lately.

MM2
quote:Originally posted by beachesl What are the rules concerning Canadian, American and International Players regarding limits for both Toronto and the other MLS teams? Toronto is allowed: 7 Senior Internationals (At least 3 have to be American) 5 Youth Internationals (can be on the Senior or Developmental roster) All other MLS clubs are allowed: 4 Senior Internationals 3 Youth Internationals Note: That Toronto will be required to reduce the # of Youth Internationals in either 2008 or 2009 (I don't remember which). Canadians count as Internationals on US based MLS teams. For the 2007 season Youth Internationals have to be born in 1983 or later. Except goalkeepers who can be born in 1982 or later. beachesl
Nolando...living (sort of) as an expatriot (like you) here since early this year. I seem to land in the strangest places, and continue to collect reminences of things people have trouble believing. MM2...muchas gracias for the info. Any good links to a succinct and well-written rationale for these rules as they apply to Toronto, anybody?
