Game of the Year: Whitecaps Home Opener vs TFC, 4-2 win for 'Caps. Atmosphere was goosebump inducing all night. You got chills standing in the Southside at Empire. (Biased?, Yes very much so)

MLS Breakout Player of the Year: I'll go with Brek Shea, finally came into his own, produced at the rate people said he could 3 years ago.

Transaction of the Year: Easy one, DeRo to DCU for Dax, this just might we transaction of the year again next season.

Assist of the Year: Didn't watch enough other MLS games to give a fair winner, so one of Chiumiento's

MLS Canadian Broadcast Call of the Year: None Canadian brodacasters in the MLS are horrible, so one of Mackewan's gaffe's

Celebration of the Year: Dunfields home opener dive into the stands of his hometown fans. (too bad his stay in Van didn't last)

Controversy of the Year: The Ref's bullying and hatred of Hassli through the season, for some unknown reason.

Canadian Export of the Year: DeRo, MVP when playign for 3 clubs hard to argue

Canadian Underrated Player of the Year: Ante Jazic, put togetehr a pretty good season for a aging, and slowing LB.

Gaffe of the Year: TFC and NYRB, giving away the best player in the league 2 times in one year.

Fantastic Finish of the Year: Hassli's blind volley from no man's land against Seattle

Story of the Year: Beckham finally wins his Cup

Moment of the Year: Same as above, The Beckham project finally cashes in

MLS Canadian Breakout Player of 2012: Andre Hainault, 31 starts for the Dynamo, maybe Morgan who started 9 games for TFC and showed promise

CMNT Breakout Player of 2012: Tosaint Ricketts, in his interational debut year, put up 3 goals this year in 9 appreances, in all competitions for Canada

A very biased look at the awards.

MLS Breakout Player of the Year: Toss up here. Palata or Koffie

Transaction of the Year: Dero, twice. Both surprised me.

Assist of the Year: Camillo to DC

MLS Canadian Broadcast Call of the Year:

Celebration of the Year: Hasli after his wonder goal. Lip reading 101.

Controversy of the Year: Teitur's firing after only 12 games

Canadian Export of the Year: REB!!

Canadian Underrated Player of the Year: REB!!

Gaffe of the Year: Trading Dero.

Fantastic Finish of the Year: Hasli vs Seattle. Just totally epic.

Game of the Year: Gonna cheat, but TFC's final groupstage match win in Dallas. Honourable mentions to the 4-2 win for the Caps over TFC in home opener and the 0-3 comeback for them vs. Kansas City.

MLS Breakout Player of the Year: Shea

Transaction of the Year: Dero to DC (how foolish does NY look now??)

Assist of the Year: Wes Knight's selfless pass to Hassli for one of the goals in the home opener

MLS Canadian Broadcast Call of the Year: I like JDV

Celebration of the Year: Robbie Keane might have sold out his goal celebration once joining LA, but it's still classic

Controversy of the Year: Limiting the away support at Cascadia games

Canadian Export of the Year: Kluko to Manisaspor (even though he was already in Turkey)

Canadian Underrated Player of the Year: REB

Gaffe of the Year: The Hassli shirts-off red card

Fantastic Finish of the Year: Without question, the Hassli wunderstrike

Story of the Year: Revival of the Cascadia Cup derbies, but at the top level

Moment of the Year: This might sound odd, but Davis getting injured in the semi-final basically ensured LA the Cup

MLS Canadian Breakout Player of 2011: Morgan

CMNT Breakout Player of 2011: Ricketts, and I really hope to see more of him next year

Game of the Year: Vancouver's home opener. I was in the crowd and it was awesome to experience an "inaugural" game from the other side.

MLS Breakout Player of the Year: Brek Shea. He faded towards the end of the year due to fixture congestion, but he has a ridiculous future.

Transaction of the Year: DeRo to DC. It's been explained enough by others.

Assist of the Year: Stefan Frei's field-long punt to Javier Martina, who volleyed home a world class strike. From TFC's home opener vs. Portland.

MLS Canadian Broadcast Call of the Year: Luke Wileman's call of the above goal for TSN.

Celebration of the Year: Stefan Frei falling to his knees and celebrating an injury time game-tying goal at LA. Honourable mention to Terry Dunfield's Lambeau Leap in the opener.

Controversy of the Year: Teitur Thordarson's sacking.

Canadian Export of the Year: Simeon Jackson. He may be struggling now, but his red-hot form (including two goals in the playoff promotion match) almost single-handedly lifted Norwich to the Premiership.

Canadian Underrated Player of the Year: Marcel de Jong. Starts every game when healthy, promoted to Bundesliga and kept his starting job.

Gaffe of the Year: Thordarson sacking.

Fantastic Finish of the Year: Eric Hassli at Seattle. Honourable mention to Javier Martina vs. Portland.

Story of the Year: Joao Plata, the smallest athlete in North American team sports, becoming an impact player in the league.

Moment of the Year: MLS Cup. The possible end to the Beckham Experiment.

MLS Canadian Breakout Player of 2011: Ashtone Morgan. This is pretty much a no-brainer, IMO.

CMNT Breakout Player of 2011: Tos Ricketts.
