sloth8
In a article written by Ryan Johnston, Stalteri talks about tonight’s game, his future with the MNT, and his plans on staying to play his club soccer in Europe. http://www.sportsnet.ca/soccer/2008/11/18/stalteri_canada/
Loud Mouth Soup
Soccernet can't even remember him, and he's not even in the running to replace Hutton, who's injured yet again for an extended period. I wonder if Harry remembers him, outside of giving him a number for, uhhh...making up the numbers. Spurs' Hutton facing another lengthy injury lay-off Hutton's absence leaves Redknapp with a problem at right-back for the UEFA Cup clash against NEC Nijmegen tomorrow as Vedran Corluka is cup-tied. Chris Gunter, Didier Zokora or youngster Adam Smith are options for the Spurs boss. Jeez, Soccernet even has him behind Adam Smith now.
loyola
I thought Stalteri wasn't registered to play in the UEFA Cup?
themodelcitizen
wow, Paul seems to be very much a forgotten man at WHL. He needs out fast, even if it's another short-term loan. Surely Roy Hogdson would take him back at Fulham? John Pantsil has their right-back position locked down but hasn't been terribly impressive, one or two good games aside... sstackho
Confirmed - Stalteri is not registered for the UEFA Cup. Some think the registration may apply by round, so maybe he could play in a future round if Spurs progress.
ChrisB
Yeah, I dunno. He has not even made it to the bench for Carling Cup this season. I find it funny. He played a pretty important role in keeping Fulham up this past season. I could see him gettig loaned out in January - maybe to a side like Birmingham looking to get back up into the Premiership? Spurs RB: Hutton (Injured) Corluka Gunter Stalteri That is a log jam, fer sure. Gunter has looked quite good, and as a 19 year old, he is more of a "play him because he is our future" type of player.
