Richard
Can anybody provide information on when the final of this tournament will be played. I understand London City owns the rights to hosting the final. The last Lynx media release said that their players were preparing for the off-season now that the Lynx USL season is over. Presumably St. Anthony is focussing 100% on their provincial championship preparation and probably loathe to risk injuries at this late stage. The CSL website still just says "Open Canada Cup Final: To be announced".
BringBackTheBlizzard
Watch for a special extraordinary wildcard being issued giving London City a chance to play in a round-robin event with the Lynx and St Anthony's.

Richard
Are the Lynx then keeping their players and coaching staff in town, on the payroll and practising till the 24th September?

T5
quote:Originally posted by Richard Which players are no longer available to the club? Sounds like you're covering your bases (ass) in case an amateur team knocks off the Lynx; the same St. Anthony's team that knocked off the CSL teams, is about to do battle with the defending Ontario and National amateur champions, GS United. Who's not playing for the Lynx? Can they field a team? Have their players all gone back to Toronto? It's weak even for you Richard.
RS
What the hell? Asking which players are no longer with the Lynx is a legitimate question in regards to this competition.
ochico
Kevin J. and Robbie A. are the only players not available.
analyst
St Anthony's will be very busy as they also play in the Ontario Cup Mens final this weekend. They will get spanked in that final by Scarborough.

You got it wrong - your remarks should be directed at ochico not me. I am the one asking what kind of Lynx team will show up for the CSL Canada Cup final, he's the one who made the cryptic remark about some players not being available (without saying who).. Rocket Robin
If it is Sunday the 24th at Esther Shiner, the CSL has the season finale of North York Astros against Windsor Border Stars at 7:00pm so they might make it an afternoon game. L.T.
It will be: 5:30 - Open Cup final 8:45 - NY Astros Game (with the SAAC Girl's Academy All-Star game squeezed in between)
Grizzly
Does seem pretty expensive considering tickets for the Lynx games against professional opponents range from $5 to $15. Will be pretty interesting to see how many people show up at that price.
