Blue and White Army Posted July 8, 2006 Share Posted July 8, 2006 Elliott Godfrey was spotted at Hampton & Richmond Borough FC's training session yesterday, quashing rumours that he was set to leave the club to move two tiers up the English football pyramid to play for either Hereford United or newly promoted St. Albans City in the Nationwide Conference. No word yet on whether fellow Canadian striker Jon Henry-Hayden is back with the Beavers. Just wondering - is there interest in the Voyageurs sponsoring Elliott Godfrey again, and possibly also Jon Henry-Hayden? It worked well last season - Hampton had a piece on their website about the "Canadian connection", the Vees logo appeared in all official matchday programmes and the HRBFC website, and Godfrey was much more frequently referred to as a "Canadian-born" player in the nationally-distributed Non-League Paper.
