DJT
Since there is no live TV coverage, I suspect there will be many people here following the match on the Web. Therefore, I encourage everyone to use the real-time chat, because the forum will probably get bogged down. It would be great if someone would copy and paste the chat in this thread at the end. Gian-Luca
R. Tamudo in the 6th minute. Early & late goals against seem to be our specialty.

Free kick
quote:Originally posted by Sigma Stream available Download sopcast at www.sopcast.org Then go to http://www.tvmix.net/inicio.php?ver=/2005/09/3-9-2005-90518-1.html Press the little play button half way down the screen. It should work. Before I attempt, is that video or audio?
Gian-Luca
HT 1-0 Spain.
Gian-Luca
I don't see a play button halfway down the screen, but maybe that's because its half-time. The play by play report seems to be really excited about something Radzinski did in first half injury time, and seems to suggest De Ro & De Guzman were our best players. It also lists Klukowski as both a starter & a sub.
Gian-Luca
Judging by the line-up, I am guesing this is our formation Kenny Atiba-McKenna-Braz-Klukowski Bernier-De Guzman-Serioux-De Rosario Gerba-Radzinski. Or it could be Seriox & Atiba switched, perhaps.
Free kick
quote:Originally posted by Sigma It is video Download the player and then punch in this url into the sopcast url sop://sop.sopcast.org:29019/channel-3512 Should work. Gian-Luca
Looks like Spain made a triple substitution early in the 2nd half, including bringing on Raul & Morientes. They've made 4 subs, we've made none thus far.
imported_n/a1394647443
On my match tracker Canada has a rosary and a gerbil playing for us.
Gian-Luca
Well you won't have a Gerbil playing for us anymore today as Gerba is off for Simpson. No doubt De Ro will move up to play alongside Radzinski.
Gian-Luca
Morientes makes it 2-0 Spain with 11 minutes to go.
Gian-Luca
GOAL!!!! Grande pulls one back with 8 minutes to go! And he wasn't even on the field at the time according to the match tracker!
mluciani
Canada Scores 2-1 Grande 82 min
Gian-Luca
The match tracker was off by 10 minutes - Grande scored with 18 minutes to go, not 8. He came on for Bernier and scored not too long after.
Gian-Luca
Sounds like the Match-tracker dude is panicking 38th minute "MADRE MÍA, CANADÁ ACABA DE TENER EL EMPATE POR MEDIO DE DE ROSARIO. El canadisnese desbordó a Juanito y disparó raso al palo derecho. Se marchó por poquito"
Gian-Luca
Placentino on for DeRo, Rocco earning his first senior team cap. Congrats.
redhat
Too bad Sportsnet didn't show it live ... sounds like a good game for Canada... Rocco should have been in earlier IMHO.
Gian-Luca
Final - Spain 2, Canada 1. A repeat of the 2003 WYC scoreline. That should make a few, if not all, of the fans on this board predicting 5-0 or 7-1 for Spain scoreline feel a bit stupid.
redhat
Game over. Spain wins 2-1, just like my flukey prediction. But a good game for us.
Joe Keeper
It sounds like a good performance for the boys. Dare I say the scoreline could even have been reversed had we been a bit more on target? Aleast this means that Yallop has Canada playing with attacking confidence or starting too. Its been a while since we have seen that.
