Guest Tg11 Posted June 16, 2018 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Are you guys a fan of the 48 team tournament expansion? For me I say yes because you have that inclusivity factor for the World Cup. You spread the World Cup love to other countries who you otherwise would not see in a World Cup but also you give love to countries who haven't been there in a long time and they get to return to the FIFA World Cup. It also helps that in 8 years time the tournament will be here in our backyard of Canada but also we are co-hosting with the United States and with Mexico too. Canada we get 3 venues, Mexico also gets 3 venues and the US get 10 venues to host games. I know for us Canadians the 3 venues in question will be: BMO Field (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) Commonwealth Stadium (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) Olympic Stadium (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) And as far as the Mexicans I know for their venues it will most likely be: Estadio Azteca (Mexico City, Mexico) Estadio Akron (Guadalajara, Mexico) Estadio BBVA Bancomer (Monterrey, Mexico) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
