trueviking
apparently burnley had a decimal point in the wrong place in their paperwork and so FIFA rejected the transfer to swans. he has returned to burlney.....this kid has the worst luck. Football's governing body introduced a transfer matching system in October 2010 aimed at speeding up and cleaning up transfers. But Fifa says the paperwork from the two clubs does not match up and will not process the deal. Swans boss Brendan Rodgers admitted: "I feel for David." Transfers between Welsh clubs playing in the English league system and English clubs require Fifa international clearance because the player is crossing a defined international border. Canadian international Edgar was a January transfer window deadline day loan signing but the discrepancy left him in limbo at the Liberty Stadium so has returned to his parent Burnley. "We were told there was one decimal point out of place on Burnley's paperwork, a meaningless decimal point, and it has been extremely frustrating ever since trying to get Fifa to approve the loan deal," Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins told the club website. http://www.swanseacity.net/page/Latest/0,,10354~2294102,00.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/s/swansea_city/9398851.stm
Blue and White Army
Ouch. One reason not to leave transfers to the proverbial eleventh hour!
TheKottonmouthed1555362307
Wow, I hope the fact checker gets fired on this one. You gotta feel for Edgar, he was finally looking at a shot at some pitch time regulary, and just the rug pulled out from under him over a clerical error.
