I think everyone knew last season was his last as it took forever to get back into game shape after his injury. All the best to him in his prime he was one of the best 86rs/Whitecaps. Colorado wanted him but apparently thought that the attraction of MLS so great that they could offer him less money than he was making with the Caps.
