Most Scottish Man in Cdn.
Two of those established internationals were in the starting line up last year (and by most accounts one of them, Edu, played much better then) when the team was a disaster. Granted there are some important additions to the side now but I think the early season success this year is down to luck as much as anything. Guest Ed
Well Brennan was unanimous player of the year last season and Edu rookie of the year for MLS. Both are quality players. Guevara is all world compared to Harmse, Cunningham, etc. Sitting those players on the bench, and then subbing them in all at the same time, killing any chance for fresh legs with 15 minutes or less left, Carver was not being very clever yesterday and cost the team the win. The teams early season success is all about a stronger lineup, which they chose not to field yesterday.
Most Scottish Man in Cdn.
I think even I could mark Cunningham...all you have to do is guide him to the centre of the goal two yards out, shouldn't have any problems then. So fair points and I agree Carver isn't exactly Scolari...um, actually maybe I just agree with you almost full stop. I still think Edu is crap though despite the honours. Gian-Luca
Well Brennan had played 45 minutes the night before so I can understand not starting him. But not starting Guevara in favour of Cunningham made no sense to me.
Most Scottish Man in Cdn.
Not that this should affect anything Carver does but I get the impression Cunningham wouldn't sit on the bench quietly.

Well, if I was the gaffer in that situation I would go over to Mr. Cunningham, shake his hand and politely say, "Thank you very much for your service over the last two years. However, you are no longer in TFC's plans. All the best in your future ventures."
