From Terry Jones, Sun Columnist...

"Take Christine Sinclair. She's played exactly 100 games for Canada's senior side. Only 13 have actually been in Canada.

She's played more games for Canada in the U.S.A. (28) and Portugal (16) than she has at home."

Wow...87 games played outside Canada? Yeesh.

Well Sinclair is only 23-24 yrs old and has played 100 times for Canada. Compare that to Paul Stalteri, who turns 30 next month, who has been a member of our MNT since he's 19 yrs old and has played only 58 times for his country. Not many in Canada as well...

At least our WNT have the games, our MNT doesn't.

Well the women's team actually advances past the 1st round in many competitions.

I know, but they still are playing much more friendlies than the MNT.

Sinclair is on a pace of having between 200 and 250 caps when she's Stalteri age, I'm not sure it's only WC and GC results that is the difference here.

Of course I,m well aware that it's easier to organize games at the women level since they have less problems with the clubs and stuff like that. But still I find the number of games difference quite big.
