No Canadians seem to play today in the English 2nd division (Bent is injured, Hirshfeld not yet officially loaned to Plymouth, Hume played yesterday even if he did get back in time for this club's match today, and Bircham started on the bench, not sure if he came on at all).

Dunfield, however, scored for Bury today in a 2-1 to Rochdale in the English 3rd division. A shot from 18 yards out. Terry seems to have regained his starting spot.

Kevin McKenna set up Hearts' first goal in a 2-1 win over Kilmarnock. Can't tell yet whether Rhian Dodds (a Canadian we should probably be paying a little more attention to) played for Kilmarnock

McKenna, who seemed to have been relegated to the bench after a good stretch of game action, came on in the 19th minute after captain Steven Pressley was injured. McKenna was moved to forward during the second half and it was from that position that he set up the goal.

Tommorrow AC Milan Juniores meet Inter Milan at home a big game for the juniores as they are 2 points from first place Cremonese who meet Padova and single point Atalanta who meet Sudtirol, Hopefully Julian will has his chance to play tommorrow as he did not play last week in their victory over Cittadella 2 - 0. He informs me that he is anxious and ready for tommorrows derby if he is called upon.

Also a note, on the bench for 90 was Justin Thompson. Thompson has been showing well in reserves, by all accounts so his presence on the bench is encouraging.

Radz was subbed out late and had a few chances to score, but it was Rooney who got the winner over Portsmouth as Everton goes clear of relegation slots.

Richard Hastings played 90 and took a 2nd half yellow as Maastricht fell to De Graafschap 0-4 Friday night.

Michael Klukowski played the whole match as La Louvière fell to Beveren 1-0 Sat evening, goal came. m. 85 after the visitors had gone down a man in m. 80.

Fernando Aguiar continues to see results with Benfica, who beat Braga 2-0 tonight Saturday. Fernando played the whole game and took a late first half yellow. The team is now just three points back of Porto with the league leader playing their game in hand on Sunday.

As I don't think it has been specifically noted, Benfica drew Rosenborg in the next round of the UEFA cup; first game at home, second in Trondheim. Fernando is the last Canadian with a team in European competitions this year.

Complementing what has been posted, Pesch played the first half for Sheffield Utd who come back to draw late. Seems he did little.

Simon Rayner played his 11th straight game for Port Talbot in the Welsh League as they drew his former team Barry Town 2-2. A poor result considering BarryT is last in the league this year after winning when Simon was with them.

In the 11 games, including Cup matches (where they've been eliminated), the team has four wins, four losses and three draws. The team has pulled away from relegation spots and is doing okay in lower mid table.

Tam Nsaliwa played the whole match as Jahn Regensberg drew 1-1 away to Mainz. The 2nd Bundesliga remains very tight, with 20 points Jahn is four points above relegation but only 8 away from the league leadership.

Milan juniores come out on top defeating Inter Juniores 2 - 1. The win pushed Milan now tied in Second with Cremonese who tied their opponents Padova in scoreless game. The other key match Atalanta downing Sudtirol 2-0, now holds the lead in the league championship with 30 points. Julian was dressed but not used in this match game against Inter.

This news is a little late and may be unsuitable for this thread [snip] Sorry I missed it for last week's thread.

The beauty of these threads is that you can easily go back to the appropriate one and post your news there. The beauty of this forum is that after you do this the older thread will bump up to the top and no one will miss your news. I think in the long run we will benefit from posting news in the appropriate threads.

A general tip: Having problems finding the older threads? Click the "Search" link at the top of any page on this forum, type "canadians abroad" in the "Search for" box, select "Match exact phrase" below that, select "Canadian National Teams" in the "Search Forum" list, select "Subject Only" in the "Search In" list, click the "Search" button --- and behold! [8D]

I moved your news to the appropriate thread for you.

A few games on the go for today Tuesday the 16th. Wycombe is away to Mansfield in the FA Cup, think that is a replay. Hopefully new coach Mr. Adams will find a spot for Rogers.

Werder Bremen in the last round before the winter break in Germany, Stalteri starts in the back, now up 1-0 over Hansa Rostock end first half. Hannover goes tomorrow, Tam's Regensberg in two days time vs. Cottbus.

In Belgian, a Cup game has La Louvière away to lower division Geel, winner goes into the final 8. Just underway, no live reports on the Belgian Cup that I can find. Should be an easy draw for Les Loups.

La Louvière is into the last 8 with a 0-1 win over Geel. Can't find info but think Klukowski played as reports said they only had 9 regulars healthy, as the flu ravaged their ranks, and Kluka was one of them. The list him on fan sites as centre back, left side, maybe Canada is missing something?

Werder Bremen stays top in Germany with a 3-0 over Hansa Rostock, Stalteri was subbed out in m. 84. Bayern stayed on pace with a win at Freiburg, still 4 points off.

Mark Rogers played 90 for Wycombe as they lost their FA Cup replay 3-2 at Mansfield, winner came on a penalty in 3rd minute of stoppage time.
