It's the Ian Rush Trophy, as the article says, which is an annual youth tournament in Wales. It's open to a large variety of age groups, both boys and girls, so the Canadian team could have been any of these. No Canadian team took part in the age group won by the Indian U18 national team (see http://www.indianfootball.com/specials/india/m_u18.html --- scroll down to the bottom). An Indian team won a soccer tournament?? There better not have been a Canadian team in that same competition otherwise it would be time to get out the brown paper-bags again!

Well, the teams that the Indian team played against were Tranmere Rovers, Botofogo, Hersord (Wales) and some team from New York. They drew Tranmere and the New York team 0-0, hammered Hersord 6-0, and lost 3-2 to Botofogo in their group match but defeated them 3-0 in the tournament final.
