Keano
I thought I'd move this one over here, broken by BigBird in the MNT section: Rocco Placentino is now with Perugia http://www.tuttolegapro.com/?action=read&idnotizia=10542 If true I find it weird because although he has been a little eclipsed by Billy and Agouram lately, he was favored quite a bit earlier in the season... Go_Impact
I think several of the Impact players must be thinking of their future and MLS; several will not make it and the NASL team will be gone. He may have decided to act now instead of waiting. He would probably hope for more playing time as well.
Keano
And at 30 (in 2012) his chances to find something else after not making MLS will be slim.
the biologist
It could be true (and somewhat a logical move), but his case is different from Pesoli and Brown, who were both without a deal come the end of the season (IIRC), while Placentino is under contract for next year as per the Impact's website. Seems a bit quick for a move out in prevision of 2012. I agree his playing time could be improved, yet it's not that bad either.
Seb of Mtl
good luck to him! if his contract isnt up and he wasnt released does this mean that the impact would have gotten some money out of this deal? I guess we'll know once the impact send out a presser.
montrealjuventus
what are you guys talking about!!!!! perugia is bankrupt and is not even sure where they will be playing this season! if they are lcky they will be playing in Serie"D", this surely means that the impact will not be getting money from anyone....anyways, this is just a rumor and that is it!!! montrealjuventus
sorry boys!!!!! i read some stuff on the internet and it does mention Rocco as a new signing. I was not wrong about the fact that Perugia is bankrupt and not sure which league they will play in. i guess we will just have to see in the upcoming weeks what happens.... Keano
It talks about the "new Perugia" so maybe it's a startup replacement club like MK Dons a few years ago. That would suck for him.
Go_Impact
Apparently it isn't true: http://soccerphil.wordpress.com/2010/07/23/fausse-alerte/
