nazzer
What do you think the priorities for each team are for the different competitions they will play througout the year? If a Canadian team is to strategize with the thought that the Concacaf Champions League is the most important competition, then would the Voyageurs Cup become the second most important trophy due to the fact that the league games have no relevance to gaining entry into the Champions League? I think to the Caps and Impact the Voyageurs Cup is as important as winning the USL Championship. It is a statement that "we are as good as MLS teams". For TFC they don't want to be embarrassed by losing to "lowly" USL sides so pride will be their motivation. They are probably more concerned with their MLS standings because making the playoffs in your second year would be huge in Toronto!
