BusanBhoy
And another (although this one more debatable) must... This land is your land, This land is my land, From Bonavista To Vancouver Island, From the Arctic Circle, To the Great Lake waters, This land was made for you and me. roamed and I rambled And I followed my footsteps To the fir-clad forests Of our mighty mountains And all around me A voice was calling, This land was made for you and me. I followed your low hills And I followed your cliff rims, Your marble canyons And sunny bright waters. As the fog was lifting, A voice was saying This land was made for you and me. When the sun comes shining And I am strolling, And the wheat fields waving And dust clouds rolling, As the fog was lifting A voice was calling, This land was made for you and me. Gian-Luca
Here's the lyrics to "Union", a song by Van Der Graaf Generator (written by Hammill/GL). The first part of the song is a bit sad and reflects the predicament we've been in for the past 7 to 23 years (depending on how far back one goes). Halfway through the song "I climb through the evening" its picks up with passion, hope and fire, which reflects the mood which we are in now. Its the perfect song for our section: Sometimes you feel so far away, distanced from all the action of the play, unable to grasp significance, watching the game with diffident dismay, stranded at centre stage, scrambling through the pitch in a lost game: unsure of the team. Kicking a stone across the beach, aching for wins and success out of reach: the way ahead seems to be so bleak, there's no-one with any friendship left to speak or show any relation between your present and future situations... lost to the dream. Away, away, away--look to the future day for hope, some form of peace within the growing storm. I climb through the evening, alive and believing in time we shall all know our goals and so, finally, home; for now, all is secret - though how could I speak it, allow me the dream in my eye! I've been waiting for such a long time just to see it at last, all of the hands tightly clasped, all of us Union! Walking in silence down the coast, merely to journey - here hope is the most, merely to know there is an end; all of us - tifo, brothers, sisters, friends hand in hand. Shining footprints on the wet sand lead to the dream. The time has come, the tide has almost run and drained the deep: I rise from lifelong sleep. It seems such a long time I've dreamed but now, awake, I can see we are the Union, and so must walk this road, well-known in our purpose, alone, but not worthless, and home ever calling us on. We've been waiting here for so long, all of our voices joined in hope, holding the weight on the rope all of us Union!!
BusanBhoy
Right on G-L, seems like a great vibe to me. Is it one that weak voices, such as mine, can get? Perhaps when the the "K"funk all stars (soon to be know as "The Honorable Ministers for War") have the site ready, we can get some kind of DB going with music, so the lads (and lassies (though I continue to not hold my breath)) can get in some good practice. Brill Lyrics. Big up yersel!

Bill Spiers
quote:Originally posted by BusanBhoy And another (although this one more debatable) must... This land is your land, This land is my land, From Bonavista To Vancouver Island, From the Arctic Circle, To the Great Lake waters, This land was made for you and me. Well Timmie's 'stole' this for one of their ad campaigns - "This cup is your cup ...." so surely we can do the same. This team is your team, This team is my team, From Bonavista To Vancouver Island, From the Arctic Circle, To the Great Lake waters, This team was made for you and me We've got de Guzman, we've got Radzinski We've got McKenna and Paul Stalteri We've got Jim Brennan and de Ros-ar-i-o This team was made for you and me This team is your team, This team is my team, From Bonavista To Vancouver Island, From the Arctic Circle, To the Great Lake waters, This team was made for you and me Works well for National Team games. The names can, of course, be adapted to whoever is playing but it helps to have DeRo playing for that last name. Could probably be adapted for the MLS team as well. northboys
quote:Originally posted by G-Man okay. And on a totally unrelated note: quote:Originally posted by the APA Research by US psychologist Prof. Adams of the University of Georgia suggests that 80 percent of men who are homophobic have secret homosexual feelings. In Prof. Adams's test, homophobic men who said they were exclusively heterosexual were shown gay sex videos. Four out of five became sexually aroused by the homoerotic imagery, as recorded by a penile circumference measuring device (a plethysmograph). Prof. Adams's research was published in the prestigious US Journal of Abnormal Psychology in 1996, with the backing of the American Psychological Association. Prof. Adams says his research shows that most homophobes "demonstrate significant sexual arousal to homosexual erotic stimuli", suggesting that homophobia is a form of "latent homosexuality where persons are either unaware of or deny their homosexual urges". These findings support the theories that homophobia (fear and hatred of gayness and support for antigay discrimination) is often indicative of repressed, self-loathing homosexual feelings; and that many homophobes subconsciously use anti-gay attitudes as a smokescreen to disguise their own homosexuality. Kelly
As a female I'd want no part of a supporters group that treats women with such dis-respect. And I doubt you'll find many women in Toronto who'd be comfortable sitting with men whose idea of "women in soccer" as this porn. How old are you guys? 14?
