Chet
A hat trick on Sunday and two-goal performance on Friday. http://www.portlandpilots.com/sports/wsoccer/release.asp?release_id=3175 http://www.portlandpilots.com/sports/wsoccer/release.asp?release_id=3166 That brings her to 16 goals in 8 games. Chet
Christine scores two goals Wednesday, and two more on Saturday to bring her total to 24 goals in 13 games. Her team, the Portland Pilots, is undefeated: 13-0-0.
Andrew W
It's Christine's fourth season of playing at Portland. She played 01, 02,04 and this year. In 2003 she redshirted to concentrate on the World Cup. By class, she's a redshirt senior. BTW, her goal totals are 23 (2001), 26 (2002), and 22 (2004). She has 24 through 13 games this year with six regular season games to go. If she scores Friday against Loyola Marymount she'll tie Brandi Chastain's record of scoring a goal in 15 consecutive games. Two more points and she'll pass Shannon MacMillan's career WCC point record of 219.

The Ref
The impact of Canadian women in the U.S. College soccer is just incredible. There are close to 400 Canadian women that are playing College soccer in the U.S. Any college who is doing well has 1 to 4 Canadians in their roster being some of their top players. This is good for the development of our girls after their 18th birthday and high school, even though the College level is not National team level, but it is the highest level available on a wide spectrum. And of course it is a great oportunity for our girls to get a top education and mostly paid for it. What I find interesting and I may be a bit out on a limb here, is that U.S. College coaches seem to do a better job in scounting our girls than our own National program does. In cheer numbers one could say they (U.S.) have identify a good 300 players worth their salt while surely our Canadian program I don't think they have identified 300 players between the ages of 18 to 22. Andrew W
Congrats to Christine as she (and another girl from Penn State on the same night) tied Brandi Chastain's NCAA record for goals in 15 straight games. She scored two tonight as Portland beat Loyola Marymount 3-0. For good measure she set up the other goal. She passed US national team standout Shannon McMillan for West Coast Conference all time leading scorer with her five-point night. Her 223 career points put her eight on the NCAA's all-time list and her 26 goals to date tie her best season output. BTW, she did it all playing only 67 minutes before being subbed out. Chet
Make that 16 straight games. Sinclair has a disappointing day though, as she scores only the one goal in a 1-1 draw against Pepperdine.

Pilots win 5-0 anyway. http://www.portlandpilots.com/sports/wsoccer/release.asp?release_id=3265 Her consecutive-game scoring streak ends at 17 games.
