masster
Late Saturday evening/early Sunday morning the commissioner of MLS was on ESPN Radio. When asked about possible expansion he said the league is looking to expand by 2 teams for 2007 and Toronto was the front runner. I found this rather surprising given the stadium situation. He said the ultimate goal would be to have a 18-20 team league by 2009 or 2010 and that other potential cities are Seattle, Houston, San Antonio and Rochester. MLS would be happy to play on Fieldturf in the Skydome, and Rogers would be happy to maximize their profit from their steal acquisition whether they get the franchise or rent it to the Argos or MLSE organizations.
